About Our ministry
Youth In Praise Center Ministry was founded in
June of 2002. It was our founder's desire to provide area
children a safe and healthy environment to learn and grow in
the spirit of God. It is our founder's hope to instill morals
and values in children, especially children who are living
with hardship, poverty, dysfunction or other circumstances
which would qualify them as underprivileged.
At Youth In Praise Center Ministry, children are
given nutrition for the mind and food for the soul.

We are operated with an all volunteer staff and
are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization fully funded by
donations.
Our Founder
Frances Washington Mitchell was born in
Beaumont, Texas on June 30 in 1958. She attended Silsbee High
School. She also attended Jarvis Christian College in Hawkins,
Texas and Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. Frances has
earned her Associates degree, majoring in Elementary
Education. She is currently working on her Masters degree in
Theology.
